Hello all!
It has been quite some time we update our site. We do not see any great products to carry all this while, and just focus on selling what we have instead. Now we have found a great product that brings great improvements to your HIFI system.
If you are seeing a lot of noises on your power line, or experiencing voltage fluctuations, a power bank (aka shunt rector) could be your solution to taming all those issues.
Quote:
Shunt reactor is used in industrial applications, more than home environment, where it is an absorber of reactive power to increase the efficiency of energy transmission, or to compensate (or consume) the reactive power generated by capacitive loads line capacitance - Ferranti effect).
Shunt reactor passively, and automatically stabilizes the voltage levels, absorbs the noises on the power line, or maintains the power line during brown outs.
Raw shunt reactor / power bank transformers prices:
- 3000W - RM$1,700 (U$425/pc)
- 3600W - RM$2,200 (U$550/pc)
- 6000W - RM$2,700 (U$675/pc)
- 7800W - RM$3,150 (U$790/pc)
- 9000W - RM$3,460 (U$865/pc)
- 12,000W - RM$4,200 (U$1050/pc)
Other smaller or intermediate sizes are available too, according to the availability of real-estate in your house or equipment, or according to the shipping rate to your country (smaller = cheaper).
Connection is simple - just connect the unit (it has two lead outs) across LIVE and NEUTRAL line. It can be used in 100Vac to 250Vac supplies. Balance mains power will need two identical unit at least for the 2 "LIVE" rails.
These are raw shunt reactors, that looks like a transformer. Buyers would have to get an enclosure to house the transformers. Or, they can include one in their amplifier / equipment, like a power cell in the equipment itself. The nearer it is, the better, since the regulation will be at the nearest point for the best effect.
The shunt reactor / power bank units can come in various formats, such as square frame, potted, or end bells (limited sizes). If customer wants us to build into a chassis, we can do so to as custom units. Please email us for details.
Since they are "SHUNT" reactors, they connect IN PARALLEL with the power line, instead of IN SERIES like the voltage regulator. Therefore, THEY DO NOT RESTRICT DYNAMICS OR HEADROOM. In fact, they PROMOTE OR ENHANCE the dynamics and headroom of your system by keep the mains rock steady to all sort of demand from the HIFI system. The more units you install, the more power / energy they store for use, just like a high capacity / large CC car engine. Different sizes are recommended so that it can react to different types of demands effectively.
If space allows, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND having two or more units, with DIFFERENT power rating, to effectively cover more charge/discharge ranges, and different types noises.
Try it to believe! It is a small price to pay for such a high return of investment.
Comments from power bank users:
"I had a listen to my favorite albums. Music becomes more alive and presentation is more realistic and vivid with greater depth. Background is quieter and a tad darker."
"The super low noise floor expanded the soundstage, so much depth, layering, airiness, penetration, has ascended my system a few notches up. It was easy to depict the musicians' spirit, by how hard they strike the cymbals and drums. The experience was so vivid and distinct. The permeating of violin was live like. I felt the weeping of Chai Qin."
"I can report that the PB sounds good on almost all kinds of music, including female jazz vocals, intimate jazz ensembles (such as Chuck Mangione's Consuelo's Love Theme which had the entire band playing live in my room one night)."
Below is an example on how a shunt reactor is used in a power filter / regulator unit. It can work hand in hand with isolation transformer, EMI/RFI filter, DC filter and such.
Quote from the seller's site (power choke = shunt reactor): "Also a power choke (optional) of 2000W ensures that your power amplifiers will have a surplus of power when they need it."
